Wouldn’t it be great if you could instantly pin point someone’s character by just a few numbers. Just imagine how many regretful boyfriends, girlfriends, and sleazy ball bosses you could have avoided. The advantages seem limitless, but does it really work? Is it just like many new age philosophies that promise supernatural insight in to the human experience? I can’t tell you that it’s not a perfect science, but I’m convinced by what I’ve learned so far.
What
is numerology? Numerology is the
study of numbers that helps determine and reflect a person’s characteristics,
talents, motivations and path in life. Letters of the alphabet also can be
represented by certain numbers, and thus the sum of numbers in your name as
well as your birth date has a direct cosmic relation to themselves, and to who
you are. Ok, you might me be even more confused now so I’ll give you a quick
overview of how it’s done.
In the basic mathematical operation
used in numerology, the numbers are reduced
by simple addition. The number 15, for instance, is reduced by adding 1 + 5 to
get 6. Similarly, the number 1974 can be reduced by adding 1 + 9 + 7 + 4 to get
21. The 21 can be further reduced by adding 2 + 1 to get 3.
In numerology, all numbers are reduced to the
single digits 1 through 9 except the special master numbers 11 and 22. 1, 2, 3,
4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11 and 22 represent the major vibration rates associated with
people’s characteristics.
Letters in individuals’ names are converted to numbers and then added together. These numbers, in turn, are also reduced. The letter A, for instance, is 1; the letter B is 2; the letter C is 3, and so forth. The following table shows the numbers assigned to all 26 letters in the English alphabet.

Ok, so what to does all these numbers
and letters mean to you? A lot if you’re willing to really dig deep and
metaphorically get to know your number. That’s something you can explore on
your own but, I guess I can tell you about my numbers.
Based on the calculation of my name,
my destiny number is 11. The characteristics of the number 11 are people that have a High spiritual plane, are intuitive, idealist, and dreamers.
Ok, so maybe your thinking how could four character traits be the sum of one
person? It was at least what I was thinking when I first discover my number.
Like I said though, you have to get to really know your own number. I’m not an
expert in numerology, so I found an excerpt that nicely sum’s up the
numerological number of 11.
The number 11 is the first of the master numbers.
It is associated with idealistic concepts and rather spiritual issues.
Accordingly, it is a number with potentials that are somewhat more difficult to
live up to. You have the capacity to be inspirational, and the ability to lead
merely by your own example. An inborn inner strength and awareness can make you
an excellent teacher, social worker, philosopher, or advisor. No matter what
area of work you pursue, you are very aware and sensitive to the highest sense
of your environment. Your intuition is very strong; in fact, many psychic
people and those involved in occult studies have the number 11 expression. You
possess a good mind with keen analytical ability. Because of this you can
probably succeed in most lines of work, however, you will do better and be
happier outside of the business world. Oddly enough, even here you generally
succeed, owing to your often original and unusual approach. Nonetheless, you
are more content working with your ideals, rather than dollars and cents.
The positive aspect of the number 11 expression is
an always idealistic attitude. Your thinking is long term, and you are able to
grasp the far-reaching effects of actions and plans. You are disappointed by

It’s still weird for me sometimes to think that a
number can pin point my character almost to the tee. With just a little research,
I immediately felt a connection to the meaning of my number. It set things in
to perspective for me. It confirms what may be lingering in your thoughts. A lot
of times people can’t understand why they feel certain things or react in certain
ways. I guess you’ll have to do your own
research to see exactly what I mean. I am now an avid believer in this new age philosophy.
